Last August 14, 2024, I had the opportunity to participate in a conversation that impacted me. I was invited to "Juego Consentido", a space created by: Roberto Canales, an entrepreneur I have long admired, and Iván Carrillo, a brilliant student of mine. Over the course of two hours, we explored topics that I rarely share, connecting with my personal and professional history in a very special way.
Ivan began the interview by highlighting my career and mentioning some of the projects I have worked on. His introduction made me reflect on the road I have traveled, from my beginnings in Galicia to my current life between Madrid and Aveiro, Portugal.

When it was my turn, I remembered my first steps as an entrepreneur at the age of seven, selling flower necklaces in the cathedral of Mondoñedo during the funeral of Álvaro Cunqueiro. From then on, I developed a passion for entrepreneurship that has been with me all my life. From Galicia, through Oviedo and then Madrid, where I studied chemistry and did several MBAs, until I founded my first company at the age of 22.
Throughout the interview, we touched on topics such as the importance of continuous learning and how teaching others becomes one of the best ways to learn. We also talked about the microbiota, a topic that fascinates me deeply, and how it affects not only our physical, but also our mental and emotional health.
Roberto discussed how a simple microbiota analysis can reveal imbalances that significantly affect our health. This was a turning point in the conversation, where we explored the complexity and potential of the microbiota in treating disease and improving quality of life.
Another topic we discussed was the importance of technologies in companies. I shared my philosophy of limiting technologies to a manageable number, avoiding dispersion and focusing on tools such as CRM and ERP. We talked about how defining a solid technology strategy can be the difference between success and failure, especially in today's dynamic digital environment.
Ivan, who remained attentive and engaged throughout the talk, asked me to elaborate on how teaching in programs such as the LEINN Degree at Universidad Europea can prepare young people for the real world. We talked about the importance of experimenting in a controlled environment, such as the classroom, before facing the challenges of the marketplace.
At the end, we reflected on the connection between all of these experiences and how each one has helped shape my current vision. The interview was a journey through my story, where I was able to open up and share aspects of my life and career that I don't often discuss in other spaces.
I am grateful to Ivan and Roberto for inviting me to this rich and meaningful conversation. It was a pleasure to be able to share these moments with two people whom I deeply respect and admire.
